And the Oscar Goes to....

Who cares? The National Board of Review named their top films and I couldn't agree more. Oscar who?

Best Film: Finding Neverland

Top Ten Films: Finding Neverland, The Aviator, Closer, Million Dollar Baby, Sideways, Kinsey, Vera Drake, Ray, Collateral, Hotel Rwanda

Best Foreign Language Film: The Sea Inside

Top Foreign Films: The Sea Inside, Bad Education, Maria Full of Grace, The Chorus, The Motorcycle Diaries

(It should be noted that most of these are not even eligible for Oscars for some obscure reason.)

Other awards of note:

Best Acting By An Ensemble: Closer (why don't the Oscars have this category?)

Breakthrough Performance by an Actor: Topher Grace (P.S. and Good Company)

Best Directorial Debut: Zach Braff (Garden State!!!!)

Best Original Screenplay: Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine!!!!)

Best Animated Feature: The Incredibles

And the final category is special recognition for excellence in filmmaking (just a few of them are here): Garden State, Before Sunset(!!!!), Eternal Sunshine, At Home At the End of the World, The Woodsmen

Conclusion: These awards should be the big ones of the year. The films here are quality shit.
