Doing everything Fox says it won't, here's what is on MTV's lineup:
- The Nick Lachey Project" will premiere in April
- “Trippin’,” which follows actress Cameron Diaz and her friends as they travel to remote locations, premieres March 28 at 10:30 p.m.)
- A third reality show starring Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker and his wife also premieres in April
Comedy Central has plans for “Stella,” a scripted show starting this summer, “Con,” starring Skyler Stone and debuting April 6, and “The Hollow Men,” a sketch comedy show launching March 10.
Spike TV will launch “Invasion Iowa” on March 29, a comedy miniseries that has William Shatner playing pranks on inhabitants of a small Iowa town.
CMT will start “Popularity Contest” April 11, which puts 10 city people in a small town and has the residents vote for their favorite. And TV Land will launch “Chasing Farrah” March 23, a reality show that follows Farrah Fawcett.
Elsewhere, ABC has had much success with the dramas “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives” this season, and that success has translated into a slew of new drama pilot orders for the network. Among them are “Night Stalker,” which has a journalist looking into freak occurrences, “In Justice,” about lawyers defending the wrongly accused, “Soccer Moms,” about two bored moms who become private investigators, and “Lennie Rose,” about a woman searching for love and riches.
