In case you haven't heard, Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings) will direct an adaption of The Lovely Bones once he's completed King Kong. If this seems like an odd choice of director for such a strange, small novel, then check out his movie Heavenly Creatures with Kate Winslet.
