We won’t be seeing “My Big Fat Obnoxious” anything again any time soon. At the Television Critics Association press tour on Monday, Fox entertainment president Gail Berman reiterated the network’s commitment to year-round scheduling but admitted that it needs to lay off the reality. She said the network won’t run the five additional episodes of the poorly received reality show “Who’s Your Daddy” and said while the appetite for reality was still out there, “I do think over-saturation in the marketplace ... is going to have an effect on production. The best generally survive and others get swept away." Thus the network is debuting several scripted shows this season. Fox will bring back the animated comedy “The Family Guy” Sunday, May 1 at 9 p.m., followed by the debut of another Seth MacFarlane animated series, “American Dad” at 9:30. “Dad” will make its unofficial debut on Super Bowl Sunday, after a postgame edition of “The Simpsons.” Fox has also added “Life on a Stick” to its schedule, a sitcom that will debut Wednesday, March 23 at 9:30 p.m. And it has been confirmed that “That ‘70s Show” will return for its eighth season next fall, but will do so without stars Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher, though both may make future appearances on the show.
