X&Y

The new Coldplay album, of course, sold a ton of records in its first week. It got relatively mixed reviews. I am underwhelmed, but I still love it. "Fix You" may be their best song to date. And there's quite a few nifty hooks. However, it doesn't move too far from where Rush Of Blood To Your Head left off. And that album was a giant step forward from Parachutes. So I'm dissapointed. But, like U2, maybe Coldplay works in phases. And a giant leap may be coming with their new album.
