New Music Tuesday

Calexico. I listened to them all last night while I cooked dinner. GREAT band.

Arctic Monkeys. I like them a lot, and DAMN, they're only 17. But I just don't think they're the next Nirvana like everyone says.

Pearl Jam. They rocked HARD on SNL. I can't believe they're pushing 40, because they are tight. Their new single (World Wide Suicide) is probably their best since the Vs or Vitology era.

And what, exactly, is wrong with "pushing 40"????????

Agreed on Pearl Jam. I was checking out tickets for their concert this summer that go on sale this weekend and freaking $54 dollars. Weren't they the ones in the past that were anti-ticketmaster and all their fees?

Nothing wrong with pushing 40. But let's face it, that's old age when you're in a rock n roll band. Few bands are able to stay relevant past 30.

$54 doesn't seem too steep, considering how much tickets are in general. I'll dish it out to see PJ.

And yeah, they were the anti-Ticketmaster crusaders, but even a huge band like that couldn't break Ticketmaster.
